My accrediting organisation, The Massage Training Institute - MTI, regulatory body, Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council - CNHC and the general council for the profession, The General Council for Soft Tissue Therapies - GCMT, have organised a comprehensive set of guidance to ensure my work is done safely for both you and me. It is regularly updated and they offer support in finding the most up-to-date information in this fast changing environment.
I am fully insured to provide my practices and I have all the necessary PPE .
The level of my qualifications in Remedial & Sports Massage (Level 5) means I am recognised as having a "professional occupation". My profession meets the definition of "other.....health services, including services relating to mental health" contained in section 47, Part 3 of the Schedule to The Health Protection (coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (No.4) Regulations 2020.
The appointment info:
- Please consider your own state of health before your appointment. Please contact me to postpone if if you do not feel well.
- Please arrive as close to your start time as possible
- If driving, please park on the driveway in the allocated space
- We will have a brief pre-treatment chat and then move treat
- There is a client specific WC and of course hand sanitiser in the treatment room
- Payment can be made on the day before or after the treatment and by card, cash or online transfer
The safety points:
- I will be monitoring my own temperature and health.
- I will thoroughly clean every environment you will come into contact with using anti-viral sanitiser.
- All drapes/cushions etc, will be freshly cleaned and changed for each client.
- There will be a clear 15 minute period before your appointment with no clients visiting.
- I have completed a full risk assessment to ensure your safety.
- Consultations will be kept to a minimum, but I will ensure I gain the information needed.
